A few days again Hayden and I were talking and this is how our conversation went....

Mom: I love you so much.

Hayden: Why do you love me so much?

Mom: Because you are a good little boy, you are so sweet and have the biggest heart (You get the idea)

Mom: Why do you love me so much?

Hayden: So you will buy me LOTS OF CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!!!

Great Kids, Not So Great Parents

For those of you who don't know John's work schedule keeps him from going to church with us most Sundays. Well a few weeks ago he was able to go for sacrament. After sacrament he decided to try and stay for all of church. I looked over at him during Sunday School and he couldn't stay awake. After class he said I need to go home. Before I could even say good bye to a friend he had both the kids out of class in the hall. I could tell Saylor wasn't happy. When I got closer she was saying "I don't want to leave Primary. I learn so much there." I decided to take John home and Hayden and I would come back and get Saylor when it was over. As we were driving I heard sniffling from the back. I asked Hayden what was wrong and he said..."Do you promise you won't be mad?" I said Yes and he said....."I really wanted to stay in my Sunbeams class. I feel good when I am there and it makes Heavenly Father Happy." Well John and I felt like the worse parents in the world. Here we are trying to pull our kids out of church and they are begging to stay. I quickly dropped John off at home and took Hayden and myself back to church. I love it when my kids teach me lessons.

Road Trip to Georgia Part 5

This was our last day in Nauvoo. It was such a great trip. I can't wait to go back. We were only going to stay till around 1pm because we still had a 10 year drive ahead of us to Atlanta but we stayed until 4pm and didn't arrive to my Mom's till 4am. The Ox Cart Ride. It was so cute we got on Saylor and Hayden started singing.... Here Comes The Ox Cart song.

Walking through Nauvoo.

The kids loved going to all the demonstrations.

This was the inspirational carriage ride. It was very touching.

There was an area called Pioneer Pastimes. We got to dress up in Pioneer Clothes and play Pioneer Games. We had to drag the kids away.

Laura Ingalls AKA Saylor Hartner. After spending time in Nauvoo I am convinced that Saylor was born in the wrong era. She was born to be a Pioneer. She came alive while she was there. She loved wearing the Dress, Apron and Bonnet. She Begged us to buy her one for her Birthday.

What a cute Pioneer.

The Pioneer Family. I have to say that dress was super COMFY.

Sweeping out our Cabin.

Yee Haw!!!

Making Ropes.

This was the hall where they had parties and dances. When Saylor heard the word DANCE she couldn't contain herself. She said she had to dance where Joseph Smith danced.

The Cemetery

Joseph and Hyrum's Grave

Saylor was so sad to leave. She stood there and looked at the graves forever and cried. There was such a strong Spirit in Nauvoo. It was a wonderful experience that I will treasure forever.

Future Beckham

Hayden had is first Soccer game today. It was so much fun watching him in action. We have always known that Hayden loves sports and seems to be pretty good at them but we had no idea that he would be such a natural at Soccer. He had some serious moves out there and of course he looks adorable sporting his BLUE MOHAWK!!! Getting Ready to Start
He did not stop running the whole game.
His first goal!!!

Right in the middle of the action

Go Hayden

Hayden's Beet Red Face at Half Time

Hayden gave 100% to this game and sacrificed his body several times. Every time he fell he would get right up and keep going but the last time he got knocked right on his back and he couldn't hold back the tears. Daddy always makes things better.

The Sharks!!!
John and I are coaching this adorable team!!! They are so much fun. All of Hayden's best friends are on our team. We missed you Brayden and Koda.
